Top 5 Food and Drink Apps on Android in Latin America, Q4 2021

The final quarter of 2021 saw significant activity among the top Food and Drink apps on the Android platform in Latin America. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

iFood comida e mercado em casa maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 300K and 357K. The highest downloads were recorded in the last week of December at approximately 357K. Active users showed some variability, peaking at nearly 9.9M in the first week of November and ending the quarter with around 8.5M.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery exhibited a steady increase in downloads, starting the quarter at 227K and reaching a peak of about 399K in the week of November 22. Active users for Rappi hovered around 4.5M to 4.7M, showing a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter.

McDonald's Offers and Delivery saw a notable spike in weekly downloads, especially in mid-November, reaching as high as 424K. Active users increased significantly during the same period, peaking at approximately 2.98M in the week of November 22 before stabilizing around 2.08M by the end of December.

PedidosYa - Delivery Online held a consistent download rate, fluctuating between 198K and 254K. Active users remained relatively steady, with minor increases and decreases, ending the quarter with about 3.67M.

DiDi Food: Express Delivery experienced a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 228K in the week of December 20. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 1.43M and rising to about 1.79M by the end of the quarter.
